The Karkonosze Mountains are famous for their capricious weather, rain and gusty winds. Longer periods of nice weather here usually occur in the fall, in September and October. So this is the best time to go hiking. The air is usually clear during this time, so you can admire the mountain panoramas.
The most popular trail runs along the ridge of the range, from Śnieżka to Szrenica, but also the lesser known paths in the lower part of the slopes are noteworthy, leading through postglacial cauldrons. Their steep slopes look most spectacular from below, and there is much less traffic here.
