The Eastern Sudetes only in a small part lie within the borders of Poland. Domed peaks and wide ridges show a similarity to the Beskids here. The Sudeten Foreland forms a separate unit north of the Sudetes, which they consist of: The Strzegom Hills and the Sobótka massif with Góra Ślęza (718 m). The Podkarpackie Basin occupy approx. 5% area of Poland, creating a triangular sinkhole. The area is characterized by vast plateaus and river valleys cut into them.
